Helping Professionals
The Daring Greatly™ Program for Therapists and Helping Professionals (8 CE hours)
This program teaches the concepts of Daring Greatly™ to groups of mental health professionals. The theories and research are communicated, discussed and applied to participants’ professional lives in order for this work to get ‘in the bones’. As a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, I deliver the core concepts and learning objectives of the program supported by Dr. Brené Brown’s video curriculum and the exploratory journal. The program runs for 8 hours and may be broken into two 4-hour sessions or one 8.5 hour program which includes a 30 minute lunch break.
The Online Daring Greatly™ Program meets via Zoom in an interactive, discussion-based format. The curriculum and workbook are just as described above. The program is run for two, 4-hour sessions on different days. The program earns 8 CE hours, as described below. Since the program is interactive and in real-time, they are considered ‘live’ training hours by the NASW of CT (vs. the limited web-based hours).
Approved for 8 Continuing Education Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT. Program meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal and the continuing education criteria for CT LMSWs, LMFTs, LPCs, and licensed psychologists. CE hours are awarded at the end of the program day.
Permission is granted for participants to teach the concepts with clients in individual, one-on-one psychotherapy sessions as part of psycho-educational treatment. The concepts may be applied in the Helping Professionals’ own personal and professional life as well as the lives of their clients.
